Meet the winners of DMBLGiT November 2015 Edition

First , I want to thank everyone who submitted their photos to DMBLGiT November 2015. We had a total of 25 entries come in from around the world and I really hope we can have more entries in the next event. I had so much fun hosting DMBLGiT, a monthly food photography event, called by some "a grandest foodporn event" on the web and discovered new blogs through this event.

You can view all photos on DMBLGiT November 2015 gallery with the name of the owner of each photo including the link of the blog post which I added right after all scores from our three judges were sent to me. It's nice to hop over to their blog and leave comment on their post. Special thank to our wonderful three judges Pamela Rodriguez, Bea and Neel for their time and energy. It's a tough job judging and I couldn't have done it without your help. I hope you had as much fun as I had browsing through the gallery and determining which photo is the most drool worthy, with outstanding composition, food styling, great lighting and correct focus.

Interfood merupakan pameran makanan dan minuman (food and beverage) besar tahunan yang diikuti oleh banyak sekali produsen makanan dan minuman dari dalam dan luar negeri. Acara ini sangat cocok bagi anda yang ingin memulai bisnis makanan dan minuman, mencari inovasi-inovasi baru di dunia kuliner, dan di sana dapat ditemukan mesin-mesin produksi makanan yang mampu menghasilkan kue dengan jumlah banyak dan waktu yang cepat.

"Does My Blog Look Good in This ?" (DMBLGiT) November 2015 Edition

To me, DMBLGiT event has a big role in my food photography journey. I met new friends who have the same passion and interest with me, I learned how to bake a cake and cooked food I've never tried before, I also learned how to produce a good food photo from all participants. DMBLGiT was the reason why I started to have a food blog ! I've hosted three times DMBLGiT in the past, and I'm more than happy to have a change to host this again for the fourth time.

Have you  heard a quote that says "You can't buy happiness, but you can buy coffee and that is pretty close" ? In some ways, some people describe that drinking coffee makes them happy or at least they drink a cup of happiness. Either the first one or the second one fits for you better, or you probably have your personal quote to show your love of coffee, but now coffee has become a culture, a ritual before a person start the day in the morning. We can see how coffee affects mood.

Sometimes I just cook to satisfy my curiosity. I know it's a little bit risky, because I don't know whether I'll love the taste of the food I cook or not. I could've just bought it first before try to make it in my kitchen. But, where's the fun ? Even small mistakes can be a valuable lesson. In the end, after one or two trials, you can enjoy what you cook with a smile and say "I did it !"

Indonesiaku Kulinerku, Wisata Kuliner satu hari di Bandung

17 Agustus 2015, Indonesia akan merayakan Hari Kemerdekaan yang ke 70. Mal Ciputra Jakarta juga tidak ketinggalan untuk ikut berpartisipasi merayakannya dengan mengadakan event kuliner "Indonesiaku Kulinerku Kampoeng Legenda". Event ini menampilkan 60 jenis kuliner legendaris dari seluruh Indonesia, yang semuanya bisa anda nikmati di Mal Ciputra Jakarta mulai dari 12 - 23 Agustus 2015.

Keanekaragaman kuliner Indonesia yang begitu kaya patut kita lestarikan, karena semua itu merupakan bagian dari sejarah bangsa. Menurut saya pribadi, makanan Indonesia sangat kaya rasa dan berani dengan bumbu. Pokoknya tidak kalah dengan makanan dari negara lain.

Sebagai salah satu blogger terundang untuk ikut mencicipi beberapa kuliner legendaris di Bandung langsung di tempatnya, tentunya senang sekali. Wisata kuliner sehari bersama Mal Ciputra, para awak media dan para blogger. Dan di situ saya ketemu food blogger yang selama ini saling kenal di dunia maya saja. Namanya si Cantik Winda dari Gulanya Gulali.

Kali ini, saya akan merangkum hasil putar-putar Bandung dan icip-icip di empat tempat makan yang wajib kamu kunjungi kalau kamu ke Bandung. Selain karena sudah diteruskan secara turun temurun dalam keluarga dan melalui waktu yang tidak sebentar (bahkan puluhan tahun !!), rasanya juga patut diberi empat jempol.

Back to blog again

Through this post I want to inform that I will begin blogging again, consistently (one post per month, I hope). I'll post recipes and more photos for you. Oh.. and that means I will open my recipes to try list and try to cook and bake them in my kitchen. I've been neglecting this blog long enough. I usually eat my homemade pancake only with ice cream, maple syrup or honey. But this recipe is an exception. I made fluffy pancakes (I really mean it, really fluffy compares to my previous pancakes) then styled them like layer cake. A pretty looking good stack of pancakes with cream and strawberries.

Healthy eating with Mix Lettuce Salad

I have been enjoying myself to eat salad lately. The flavor of all fresh veggies is great and surprisingly I like it a lot. Fresh, crunchy and has specific flavors and textures. Sometimes if I'm not busy, I made myself a special dish with toast, sauteed shiitake mushroom. To make it extra special, I combine protein like pan-seared salmon, chicken or sunny-side-up with my salad.
